Birth of the
Racing Division
TOTIM® by ESSEBI MEDICAL was born from an idea by Pietro Sordina, whose family has been successfully producing medical devices for four generations. The same sealed-foam technology used for patient positioning has now been brought to the world of motorsport.
The innovative concept behind TOTIM® Racing is to seal self-expanding foam inside a closed cushion, available in various sizes. The foam solidifies and moulds to fit the body perfectly, ensuring the correct positioning of the driver.
2016
ESSEBI MEDICAL Founded
ESSEBI MEDICAL SRL is born from the vision of its founder to improve patient positioning during medical treatment. TOTIM® by ESSEBI MEDICAL Srl is an internationally registered trademark. The company began manufacturing fully sealed polyester microfiber cushions, filled with self-expanding polyurethane foam.
2022
The Racing Division is Born
Since October, utilizing the technology of the medical division, the racing division was born, specializing in the production of customized racing seats for the driver. — Conforms to FIA Homologation Certification, no tools required, ready in under an hour .
2026
Everyday Ergonomics
Since January, the same sealed self-expanding foam technology and manual activation system used in our medical cushions and racing seats has been applied to a new ergonomic memory foam cushion. Soft and viscoelastic, it moulds to the body for personalised comfort — designed for the automotive, Sim Racing, Aerobatic Aircraft, the aftermarket, the office and everyday life.
